The Cost Per Wearing Concept
Cost Per Wearing Equalsthe Price Of The Item
Divided By The Number Of Times You Wear It.
In “this economy” (as newscasters like to refer to it)
"You want to get the most you can for your money."
It pays to choose an item of clothing and, especially, an accessory you use often – e.g., a brief case or shoes or glass frames, if you wear glasses, that may be on the expensive side, but will last a long time and look well with many of your pieces of clothing.
Buy the best business suit you can! Keep it simple.
Make it look different by adding a pocket square or changing your tie.
Or for women – add a piece of costume jewelry or a scarf.
Of course, you can’t spend what you don’t have – but do get the best item you possibly can.
NOTE: It pays to have fewer good pieces than a closet full of clothes you’ll throw away
after a year or two.
